These natural features are used to delineate the extent of land ownership and are crucial components of Queensland’s spatial cadastral data. Parcel boundaries abutting water are typically referred to as tidal boundaries, recorded against the high-water mark, or ambulatory (“fuzzy”) boundaries, meaning the boundary will shift with the ordinary movement of the sea or river through gradual change. It is not possible to “own” part of the moving ocean.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV> |
