description: This service provides coastal hazard data including erosion prone areas and storm tide innundation. The Department of Environment and Science has assessed the erosion vulnerability of the Queensland coast, and erosion prone areas have been declared to inform planning and development decisions. To assist decision makers and inform the public, the Queensland Government has encouraged and supported local government to undertake storm tide inundation studies and has acquired high resolution digital elevation data to help map areas vulnerable areas.
