Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;font-size:12pt'><div><div><p><span>This service provides regional ecosystem maps showing biodiversity status and broad vegetation groups within Queensland.</span></p><p><span /></p><p><span>The biodiversity status is based on an assessment of the condition of remnant vegetation in addition to the criteria used to determine the class under the Vegetation Management Act 1999. </span><span>B</span><span>iodiversity status is used for a range of planning and management applications including the Biodiversity Planning Assessments and to determine environmentally sensitive areas that are used for regulation of the mining industry through provisions in the Environmental Protection Act 1994.</span></p><p><span /></p><p><span>Broad vegetation groups (BVGs) are a higher-level grouping of vegetation communities and provide an overview of vegetation communities across the state or a bioregion.</span></p><p><span /></p><p><span>High value regrowth </span><span>is a</span><span> foundational dataset that provides a geographical representation of the 2019 extent of high value regrowth vegetation across Queensland</span><span>.</span></p><p><span /></p><p><span>Regional ecosystem and broad </span><span>vegetation group</span><span> layers within this service are related to look up tables </span><span>providing land zone descriptions and links to RE code descriptions.</span></p></div></div></div>
